An example of the world's most popular carpet, this solidly woven village carpet from Arak province in western Persia, show the characteristic "American Sarouk" design of detached, four-way symmetrical layout of detached floral sprays, here accented in light blue, teal, cream, navy and salmon, on a strawberry red field. Navy border with vases reversing with narrow palmettes. Cotton foundation, solid weave. Good condition.
