From SW Persia, and from either the Luri or Khamseh tribal groups, this well-colored, naturally paletted piece shows a row reversing boteh pattern with a three connected lozenge over-pattern in ivory. Botehs in red and mustard fill and support their ivory similar. Minor borders with angular meanders and main frame of oblique small panels in dark blue, yellow and red. Slight end reduction, especially at the bottom, but good, thick pile of nomadic wool. Woven on a ground (flat) loom by tribal women. Good condition.
