This black ground kernare (runner) takes its pattern from 17th century Kerman "Vase carpets", even to the straw half-vases along the sides, and including all the other usual actors: upright and tilted ragged palmettes, amphora irises, a two-level vinery pattern, and even the bitonal "snails". Accents in rust, sand, pale green and leaf green. Navy border with upright and tilted palmettes, especially at the corner turns. Cotton foundation. Medium weave.
