This coarsely knotted, west Anatolian town carpet shows a much-modified Harshang ("crab") design of ragged palmettes, octagons, ashik-rosettes: "goosenecked" squares, a cartouche, and small flowers, all floating on the straw-sand field. Tangerine-rust strip-style main border with truncated, serrated cypresses and petal palmettes. Medium-long pile. Wool foundation. Good condition.
