Tehran carpets were woven primarily for the nouveau riches in the Interwar period, as is indicated by the Persian proportions of this finely woven example with an unusual pattern of a broken lattice composed of rosettes diagonally latticed with paired vases, Cream main border of zig-zagging diagonal spindles. Cream grounds overall. Rosette minors. Excellent wool, upright pile. Good condition.
