The unusual saturated goldenrod field of this Chahar Mahal Bakhtiari weaving shows a rough lozenge lattice enclosing a variety of informal flowers in reds, blues and ecru. The blue border, with its fringed and looping meander, has been borrowed from Josan rugs. The weave is medium and solid and the rug may be a quality product of Shal Mazar village. Good condition.
