The warm, glowing, faintly abrashed mature madder red field displays exactly six obliquely rayed and voluted “bug” palmettes in brown-black, medium-light blue and straw. The ivory main border displays discrete rayed diamonds and triple quincunx-like elements, and is flanked by bold bitonal abrashed medium blue and brown-black minors both in reciprocal flower-keyhole patterns. S-pattern guard lines. Good condition for this all wool, SW Caucasian Armenian long scatter with a moderately coarse weave. A very attractive older, antique Kazak.
