The sand field displays a central luxuriantly flowering vase, under a pointed niche with a hanging lamp, on the sandy cream field. Tall waging birds, probably herons, flank the vase. Two lateral columns with pairs of lamps support the twin red spandrel panels above. Red strip-style border with chunky slanted palmettes. Fine weave characteristic of antique “Hajji Jalilli” Tabriz workshop rugs. Cotton foundation, short and crisp erect pile.
