The NW Persian town of Sarab is at one corner lof the Heriz District, and usually weaves all wool runners, but here is a classic camel-hair tone piece on cotton. The field shows two complete characteristic tall hexagons with pendanted conforming medallions therein. Ashik and twin-leaf flowers occupy the defined reserves. Standard Sarab main ecru border with square palmettes and equally square floret arrays. Moderate weave. Good condition.
