Looks like a room size, but this uncommon scatter format NW Persian village scatter shows a vivid natural dye palette with a tomato madder red field centred by a partially stepped navy diamond medallion filled with serrated, radiating leaves and a central salmon octogramme. Giant blue pendants with volute corners. Vigorous stiff field vinery and conjoint ivory corners. Abrashed dark blue border with Heriz-style reversing turtle palmettes. Very slight reduction at one end. Medium coarse weave. Good condition.
