The straw-cream field presents a bold, long-armed organizing cross pattern with a black ragged lozenge centre and equally torn large palmette finials. More ragged palmettes and bitonal leaves, single and fork-paired continue the pattern dynamism. Navy border with inward palmettes and a barbed, leafy angular meander. More likely from the leathery weave and medium-fine knotting, a Ferahan-Sarouk from western Persia. Good condition.
