Karaja village is located in the NW Persian Heriz weaving district, so technically this is a "Heriz", but really it is a Karaja scatter with a tomato madder red ground presenting two jade green squares vertically flanking a lightly hooked hexagon in yellow and pale blue. Pine-cone flowers and pinched hexagon minor elements. Navy "Zanbaki" border which is rare on Karaja scatters. Lively rug in good condition.
