Always finely woven and favoring cream fields, Isfahan rugs, as here, show pendanted round medallions supported by palmettes, lancet leaves and scrolling vinery. Eight plus eight medallion edge and semi-en suite corners. Solid cardinal red border with petal palmettes and bitonal barbed sickle leaves. Inscribed in minor border at one end. Cotton foundation, short “Kurk” wool pile, very finely knotted. Good condition.
