This rug hails from Fars Province, SW Persia, and features an abrashed rust-red field with a strongly abrashed light/cerulean blue octogramme enclosing a rosette and two primitive palmettes. The stepped corners display red, ecru, goldenrod, and cerulean blue hues, punctuated by a cream border with floating flowers and shrubs, and an outer polychrome squares border. The moderate weave is in good condition.
