Probably from Turbat-i-Haideri in Eastern Persia, this well-woven nomadic artefact on an all wool foundation, shows a characteristic "tree of life" with 14 paired fan leaves on a camel hair ground. Small boteh fillers. Two "running dog" reciprocals frame a central camel-tone border with flowers. Broad flat woven ends with supplemental weft patterning. Excellent wool. Braided closure loops intact at the open end. Good condition.
