A uniform Herati design, varying only in color distribution, covers the hexagonal medallion, triangular corners and sandy-straw field of this well-woven western Persian Kurdish town rug from the seat of Kurdistan province, Sanandaj. The straw main border with rosettes and botehs gets more geometric on the sides and more fluid along the ends. Sandpapery, short-clipped pile, cotton foundation, single weft. Good condition.
