A small blue-black, finger-fringed cartouche centres the pattern of nearby tall flowers and smaller sprays in the corners. Volute Vees penetrate from the buff-rust field into the royal blue flower and amphora iris border. Mohajeran village weaves the best rugs in the Sarouk area in western Persia, mostly in blue field tones, but this well-woven example may be one of their rust-buff examples. Leathery handle.
