“Dabir” Kashans were probably woven in the nearby town of Natanz and feature jewel-tone colors and often, as here, complex allover patters. Rosettes are the basic motif, in rows with embracing sickle leaves, or alternating with arabesque brackets and paired positioning leaves. The weave is fine and regular, and the navy grounds and general palettes of field and border match. Short-clipped, briskly velvety pile. Good condition. Aristocratic and elegant. Perfectly executed.
