This scatter is one of the most desirable of Farahan-Sarouk types with its contrast of a very subtly abrashed open sandy-cream field and crisp navy pendanted medallion with closely en suite corners. The small palmette and flower decoration in the field contrasts with the much larger polychrome petal palmettes of the navy border. A west Persian Arak (Markazi) province rustic scatter of relatively fine weave, all natural dyes and excellent local tribal wool. Cotton foundation, asymmetric (Persian) knots. Very good condition.
